Privacy Policy
Effective 12 August 2026 · Applies to the Figure Four app and this website
The short version. Figure Four collects no information about you. It has no account system, makes no network requests, and contains no advertising, analytics or third-party code.
The app saves your settings, your best times and the puzzle you left unfinished. That data is written to your own device and is never sent anywhere. One button in Settings erases all of it.
1. Information we collect
None. We do not ask for a name, an email address, a phone number, a date of birth or a sign-in of any kind, and we do not read any device identifier.
Because the app makes no network requests at all, no information about you reaches us or anyone else — there is no server for it to reach.
2. Data stored on your device
The app keeps one entry in your device's local storage so it can remember where you were. It holds:
- Your settings — background palette, sound, music, whether conflicts are highlighted, and interface language.
- Your results — best time and number of completions, kept separately for each puzzle and each difficulty, plus your running score in Roll.
- The board you left unfinished, so you can pick it up again.
This stays on the device. It is not uploaded, not backed up to us, not shared and not sold. We cannot read it.
3. No network activity
The app never makes a network request. It works identically in airplane mode. There is no online mode, no sync, no leaderboard and no download after install.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
The app uses no cookies and no tracking technology of any kind. The single local storage entry described above is not used to identify or follow you.
This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies and loads nothing from any other host.
5. Advertising and analytics
Neither exists in the app. There is no advertising network, no ad placement, no rewarded video, no usage analytics, no measurement service and no crash reporting.
6. Third parties
There are none. The app contains no third-party code, no social login and no font or media service. Nothing in it loads anything from the internet, so no third party can observe your use of it either.
7. Device permissions
The app requests no permissions. It does not use the camera, microphone, photo library, location, contacts, calendar, health data, clipboard or push notifications, and never asks for access to them.
8. Scores and in-game values
Times, completion counts and the running score in Roll exist only to mark your own progress. They have no real-world value: nothing can be bought with them or exchanged for them, and they cannot be transferred between people or devices.
9. Children
Figure Four is suitable for all ages and safe for children to use. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either. It contains no chat, no user-generated content, no links out and no advertising.
A parent can clear all on-device data at any time from Settings.
10. Your rights
Rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data assume that someone holds it. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to produce or erase. The only data that exists is on your device, and you control it directly: Settings → Reset deletes it outright, and deleting the app removes it as well.
11. Data security
The strongest protection available is the one this app uses: it never transmits anything. Your saved data is protected by your device's own storage protections and account security.
12. Changes to this policy
If a future version changes what the app saves, or adds anything that connects to the internet, this policy will be updated before that version is released and the effective date above will change.
